Opera Box is proud to present Hong Kong's first Choose-Your-Own-Adventure opera. We follow the trials and tribulations of the Trojan hero, Aeneas, as he tries to make sense of life after the death of Dido, whose death he inadvertently caused.

In Purcell's beloved opera Dido and Aeneas, the latter lands as a refugee prince on the shores of Carthage. Dido, Queen of Carthage, extends help, and the two of them fall in love. A malicious Sorceress, with her cohort of witches, scheme to ruin Dido's good fortune. They summon a spirit in the likeness of the god Mercury, and Aeneas is soon convinced by the false god that he must sail away, and fulfill his destiny by building a new Troy (Rome). Devastated by his perceived betrayal, Dido dies.
