Minjung Jung

Minjung Jung is a pianist hailing from South Korea who holds a Graduate Diploma in Collaborative Piano from The Juilliard School, where she studied under the guidance of esteemed mentors Brian Zeger, Margo Garrett, and Jonathan Feldman as a recipient of the Irene Diamond Graduate Fellowship Scholarship. As a collaborative pianist, she has performed alongside numerous musicians at prestigious venues such as Alice Tully Hall and Paul Hall at Lincoln Center in New York. Minjung has also participated in many masterclasses with renowned artists including Roger Vignoles, Barbara Hannigan, Alan Smith, Julius Drake, and Helmut Deutsch. In addition, she has worked as a rehearsal pianist at the Seoul Metropolitan Opera since 2016 and was invited as a young artist to perform chamber music at the Tong Young International Music festival. Minjung Jung's accomplishments include being a Vocal Collaborative Fellow at the Aspen Music Festival and School, as well as a recipient of the 2018 Marc and Eva Stern Fellowship at SongFest. She was also an Irene Diamond Graduate Fellow at The Juilliard School. In Korea, she graduated from Sunhwa Art School and Sunhwa Art High School in piano before completing her Bachelor's Degree in Piano Performance at Ewha Woman's University under the guidance of Yoonboh Cheong. She then earned her Master's degree in Collaborative Piano at the same institution, studying under the mentorship of Hojeong Jeong. Minjung has worked as a rehearsal pianist at the Seoul Metropolitan Opera and as a collaborative pianist at DanKuk University and Chugye University. Currently, she has embarked on a new career as a pianist and piano teacher in Hong Kong, and collaborates regularly with soprano Vivian Yau as part of a duo.
